Tickets In The Basic Economy
Our 24-Hour Risk-Free Cancellation guarantee applies to tickets booked directly from Delta, including Basic Economy rates. This means you can cancel your ticket for any reason up to 24 hours after booking and receive a full refund with no change or cancellation costs. Basic Economy tickets purchased outside of current waivers are non-changeable; however, you may cancel your ticket before departure to earn an eCredit less a cancellation fee and apply the leftover value to a future Delta ticket. Basic Economy Tickets are similarly non-changeable and non-refundable; You can, however, cancel your ticket for a cost in miles that will be deducted from the ticket’s value, and any remaining mileage balance will be credited to your SkyMiles account as a refund.
Tickets Purchased For Travel In 2022
If you cancel your Basic Economy flight before 2022, you may be eligible for a partial credit in the form of an eCredit. A cancellation fee will be taken from the value of your ticket.
Tickets purchased after April 30, 2021 for travel in 2021 will be valid until April 30, 2022.
Until our temporary 2021 Basic Economy Changeability Waiver, travelers with upcoming Basic Economy travel through December 31, 2021 may be eligible to make modifications to their forthcoming flight without paying a change charge.
Tickets Purchased On Or Before April 2021 To Travel In 2022
Customers who purchased a Basic Economy ticket under our COVID-19 travel waivers on or before April 30, 2021, may make changes to their tickets or cancel them and earn an eCredit. These tickets are exempt from cancellation and change fees.
North American And Caribbean-Based Vacations
Change fees on tickets from North America to anyplace in the globe, as well as from the Caribbean to the United States or Mexico, have been eliminated.
