Paying For Flight Tickets In Installments. Flight tickets can be purchased through paying in installments. Passengers can pay by taking an EMI and by their credit card. Some of the airlines that offer the option to make payment in installments include-
Indigo Airlines
Indigo airlines have tied up with HDFC, ICICI, and Citi bank to offer their passengers an option to pay the fare in two installments. The passenger generally gets 15 days to pay the installments. The following are the terms and conditions:
- The EMI offer is only applicable to selected Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders.
- Through EMI, the cardholder can make purchases on the Standard Chartered credit card and then convert the purchase amounts into installments.
- The transaction value should be more than 2000 for the conversion to be an instant EMI. The value of the transaction might be dependent on the minimum swipe on a particular product of the passenger.
- It takes 7 working days for an EMI transaction to reflect in the cardholder’s account.
- The EMI will be added to the cardholder minimum amount due every month. If the passenger fails to pay the amount by the mentioned pay due date, he/she has to pay penal charges. If the amount outstands the card limit (including the EMI) the cardholder would be liable to pay over limited charges as applicable.
- The amount of the processing fee and service tax will be charged in the cardholder’s monthly credit card statement if it is applicable.
Changes to Terms and Condition:
The airlines will inform the cardholder if there are any
changes to terms and conditions through any of the following
mediums:
- Passbook
- ATMs

The private airline has tied up with Axis bank, HDFC bank,

- The credit cardholders of the aforementioned banks are eligible to get a discount of 5% on the base fare for every domestic/ international revenue booking made for online bookings at www.jetairways.com.
- The online discount is only applicable on international flights originating from India and only if the payment is made in Indian currency. By any chance, if the international flight does not originate from India, the discount will not be applicable.
- The members will be required to enter the promo code ‘JITNDS” in the promotion code field on www.jetairways.com The code allows the cardholder to receive a discount of 5% on base fare on one-way return revenue tickets for domestic and international flights.
- The discount only appears for Jet Airways marketed and operated. If the passenger is planning to book a return journey under the promo code then both the journeys have to be booked in fare classes eligible under this discount.
